Janel Grant’s legal team is pushing to challenge the enforceability of her non-disclosure agreement with Vince McMahon and WWE by requesting a wide range of internal communications and documents. Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling first reported on the extensive request.
The filings aim to gather evidence to support the claim that Grant signed the NDA “in an extreme state of duress and coercion at the hands of Vince McMahon.” The legal team is seeking numerous categories of documents, including drafts of the NDA, communications between McMahon and his wife Linda McMahon, and documents that federal investigators at the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission have already reviewed.
The list of requested documents and communications includes, but is not limited to:
The identities of all individuals who drafted or reviewed the NDA.
All communications concerning the termination of Ms. Grant’s employment.
All drafts of the NDA.
All communications between Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon concerning Ms. Grant.
Ms. Grant’s complete employment file.
All WWE Board of Directors materials from January 1, 2019, to January 30, 2025.
All documents and communications produced by WWE to government investigators concerning Ms. Grant.
Documents related to the scope, methodology, findings, and recommendations of the WWE Board’s Internal Investigation.
