Jason Jordan’s neck injury is worse than expected

Last week, it was reported by Bryan Alvarez that the plan for Jason Jordan’s return was to reunite him with Chad Gable. Now, those plans are on hold because, as first reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jordan’s injury situation is worse than expected and is not returning at the present time.

Jordan has been out of action since February after undergoing surgery to repair a neck injury. He had a disc in his neck that caused him significant pain.

In February, he underwent something called a posterior cervical microdiscectomy. Basically, it’s a minimally invasive operation to decompress the nerve and allow it to heal.

The timing wasn’t great for his career because he was about to enter a feud with Seth Rollins and the word was that he would have a match against Rollins at WrestleMania this year. Instread, Jordan and Rollins dropped the Raw Tag Team Chamionships and Kurt Angle sent him home as a way to write him off televison so he could take care of his injury.

Jordan was out doing some community work for WWE last month but there’s no timetable available on his return to the ring.
