Jay Lethal vs. Flip Gordon for the ROH World Championship took place at the ALL IN show in Chicago, IL on Saturday night. Lethal did a full tribute to “Macho Man” Randy Savage. He was accompanied to the ring by Lanny Poffo and they played Savage’s actual WWF theme song. He also wore Savage’s gear.
Late in the match, Lethal hit 3 elbow drops but Gordon kicked out and Hulked up like Hulk Hogan. He hit some punches, the big boot and was going for the leg drop but Lethal got up. Later, Lethal hit a Cutter off the top and then Lethal Injection to win the match.
After the match, Bully Ray ran down and used a chain to take out Lethal and Gordon. Bully also took out Lanny Poffo. Bully set up a table but Colt Cabana ran down to make the save and they all put Bully through a table in the ring.
