WWE Hall of Famer JBL has confirmed he will be appearing at AAA Lucha Libre’s upcoming Triplemania event in Monterrey, Mexico, on June 15, 2025. This event is notably set to feature talent from WWE and TNA as well.
Speaking on the “Something to Wrestle With” podcast, JBL shared his plans: “Well, I will say it June 15. I’ll be there in Monterey. Oh, okay, I think they’ve already announced it. So I’m not giving away something that that I shouldn’t. But, yeah, I’m going to be there… I’m very excited about it.”
JBL also commented on the increased focus on the Mexican wrestling market by major companies like WWE and AEW. “People, they’ve wanted the Hispanic audience, for so long… And to do that, you need a pipeline of luchadors, a great Hispanic talent,” he stated. “And now all of a sudden, you’re seeing WWE making this huge inroads into it… And now you’re seeing AEW try to respond. So now it’s just kind of a chess match going back and forth between the two.”
