Jeff Cobb Had Demanding Travel Schedule To Make It To WWE Backlash

Jeff Cobb made his surprise WWE debut at Backlash tonight, May 10, 2025, immediately making an impact during the United States Championship Fatal Four-Way match in St. Louis. Cobb appeared and delivered a powerful clothesline to LA Knight.

His interference played a role in the match’s outcome, which saw Jacob Fatu retain his United States Championship after hitting a moonsault. Cobb’s arrival had been kept tightly under wraps, and backstage reports highlight the extensive efforts made to ensure his debut was a surprise.

According to a report by PWInsider.com, “the word backstage,” Jeff Cobb undertook a demanding travel schedule, taking approximately four to five flights starting in Japan over the last day and a half. He reportedly arrived in St. Louis this morning and was then hidden until his appearance.

Sources indicated that “quite a few people [backstage were] marveling about that” dedication and secrecy. Following his impactful debut, it’s reported that Cobb will be a part of the SmackDown roster moving forward.
