Fans were disappointed to see the way WWE used Jeff Hardy on this past Monday’s episode of Raw as he was part of a segment where a group of wrestlers was chasing after the 24/7 Title. Hardy was trending on Twitter for several hours as fans criticized the decision to put him in a lower card storyline.
The former WWE Champion was on Boston’s Wrestling Inside The Ropes radio show and within the first 2 minutes of the interview, he was asked about this 24/7 Title segment.
Hardy said, “Monday night in Miami, that’s just what I felt like doing, that’s what I had to do. I was in the chase for the 24/7 Title and it just didn’t work out man. It’s one of those things man, I show up to work and do what they need me to do and move on. That’s in the past and this Monday is the future so I’m super excited.”
Hardy also said that he feels that things are not done yet with Karrion Kross and he thinks that there may be something happening with him and Kross at Extreme Rules. Hardy also said that his goal is to be the Universal Champion one more time before his career is over.
With how the company has booked Hardy up to this point, it has led to speculation that the company may have given up on Hardy as a top star. It will be interesting to see what they do with him next week.
