Jeff Hardy pitches idea of how he could turn heel without turning on the fans

Jeff Hardy has portrayed a babyface character for the majority of his pro wrestling career. He did have a heel run in TNA Wrestling when he aligned himself with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff at the 2010 Bound For Glory PPV event to win the World Title.

Hardy has stated in the past that he would like to be a heel in WWE. While speaking to SportBIBLE, Hardy pitched his idea on how a heel turn might work for him.

“I think there’s a way to kinda turn heel without turning on the fans,” he states. “It’s like turning on the company, where it’s something like, ‘Ok, I’m 44 years old, I’ve been doing this for so long and I’m really being mistreated – what’s going on here?’ Should I ask for my release from World Wrestling Entertainment?’ This is not a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ question, it’s a ‘Yay!’ or ‘Boo!’ question – let them yay or let them the boo and let them decide.”

He continued by noting that might be a route to take and he feels there’s something to be unleashed inside of him that wants to get out to rage to a certain point. He’s hopeful that they can figure it out.

Hardy is set to be on Team SmackDown for the five vs. five elimination match against Team Raw at Sunday’s Survivor Series.
