TMZ is reporting on more details from Jeff Hardy’s arrest on Saturday.
They noted the police report saying that Hardy was found passed out in a public stairwell and he reeked of booze before he was arrested.
Hardy later admitted to drinking vodka before cops found him passed out. Luckily for him, he will not face a misdemeanor charge for public intoxication because Hardy paid the $153 ticket. The case is now considered to be closed.
Hardy could still go to court later this month to fight the ticket but that seems unlikely.
The 41-year-old former WWE Tag Team Champion has dealt with substances abuse issues over the years, which makes this story so sad. He is currently rehabbing a knee injury and hopes to get back into the ring later this year.
