Jeff Hardy did an interview with Sports Illustrated where he spoke about a wide range of topics.
During the chat, the former WWE Champion shared his lofty goals, which he wants to achieve before 2024. That’s interesting as Hardy signed a new deal with the company a few months ago.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE had been signing wrestlers to five-year deals. If you recall, Hardy had time added to his previous deal due to the several months that he missed because he was sidelined with an injury.
According to Hardy, he wants to headline a WrestleMania as well as be WWE Champion and Universal Champion before 2024.
“Between now and the year 2024, I want to be WWE Champion and Universal Champion, one time apiece, and main event WrestleMania one of those years,” said Hardy, a former three-time World Champion in WWE. “That’s the goal I just set for myself. Faith over fear, everything will be good.”
Hardy also talked about feuding with Elias, struggles with alcoholism, the ThunderDome, and more. Check out the full interview here.
