Jerry “The King” Lawler Pulls Out Of Upcoming Appearances To Focus On Health Issues

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler has pulled out of several of his upcoming convention and event appearances as he focuses on some undisclosed health issues. PWInsider first reported the news. This comes after Lawler has had a number of health scares in recent years.

The nature of the health issues was not specified in the report. Lawler has been a fixture on the convention circuit for many years, and his presence is always a major draw for fans who grew up watching his career.

As many fans are aware, “The King” has battled through serious health issues in the past. He famously suffered a heart attack live on the air during an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2012, an incident that he survived. More recently, he has dealt with the effects of two strokes, one in 2018 and another in 2023.

In an interview in March of this year, Lawler stated that he felt “great” despite still dealing with the lingering effects of the second stroke, which had affected his speech. Lawler’s most recent appearance on WWE programming was in February, when he was shown in the crowd during an episode of Friday Night SmackDown from his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.

He received a loud and warm ovation from the crowd. Lawler was also in attendance for Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party in August, where he was seen with a number of his old friends and colleagues. We wish Lawler a speedy recovery.
