Jerry Lawler receives backlash for comment about Akira Tozawa on WWE Raw

Jerry "The King" Lawler is getting some backlash on social media for a comment he made during a match on Raw.

Last night, when Akira Tozawa did a dive off the top rope, Lawler called it the "Ramen Noodle Moonsault." The comments did not sit well with fans who felt that he only said the line because Tozawa is Japanese. It's something that he would have said in the 70s, 80s, and 90s without the criticism but that is not the case these days.

Lawler hasn't responded but he liked this tweet that reads: "100ks of whites and blacks here in Memphis love @JerryLawler. We know him best and he has been the king of Memphis for 40 years. Stop it. I assure you that if you pass the test in are NOT racist. That’s insane."
