Jim Ross expects WWE to book Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, comments on 205 Live

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on various topics. During the blog, Ross commented on the Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks match on Monday’s RAW for the RAW Women’s Title in which Banks won. Ross said that the match had a good story and was well executed although he is often times concerned about the type of risks the women take in the ring as it relates to their health. Ross questioned if there are too many title changes in the women’s division.

Ross gave his thoughts on the premiere of 205 Live on the WWE Network this past Tuesday night on the WWE Network, which was headlined by Rich Swann vs. Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Title. While Ross is not a huge fan of a three man announce team, he thinks he’ll enjoy seeing Austin Aries as part of the team along with Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves. He looks forward to seeing how the TV personas of the Cruiserweights evolve over time on the show. “This is the key to this brand making a significant splash that many of us hope it will be.” He added that the fans know that the wrestlers can go in the ring but he wants to know who they are and why he should care about them.

Both Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, who recently wrestled each other at the WWE Survivor Series PPV event, have confirmed that they will be in the 2017 Royal Rumble Match on January 29th in San Antonio, Texas. Ross expects that both men being in the match will help sell more tickets. “I can see these two studs colliding in some violent manner in San Antonio which would then lead to their ‘blow off’ match at Wrestlemania on April 2.” He is curious to see if WWE will blow off the feud if the fans are still interested in it and both men are willing to extend the feud.

Ross also talked about Matt Hardy and more. You can read the entire blog here. If you haven’t done so, you can listen to the latest episode of the Ross Report here:
