WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on various topics. During the blog, Ross praised Cody Rhodes for the moves that he has made after he departed from WWE. “Personally, I am so proud of the initiative and courage that Cody is displaying leaving a great job in WWE earning a six figure plus living to strike out on his own.” He said that Rhodes’ work is incredible at this point in his career. He is happy that Rhodes would be wrestling Juice Robinson at Wrestle Kingdom 11.
Speaking of NJPW’s biggest event of the year, Wrestle Kingdom 11, Ross noted that the released lineup for the event looks to be an excellent card that should ignite the Tokyo Dome on January 4. Ross said that there would be a major announcement made on Tuesday from AXSTV regarding this year’s event and their plans on covering the event.
As noted, the trailer for the upcoming XFL documentary that will air on ESPN next year has been released. Ross is excited to see the documentary but wished he was interviewed for it. “I loved my experiences broadcasting football along with all my WWE duties that year and would not trade the experience for anything.” He said that he made $1500 per game for his work. “Working with Gov Ventura, Dick Butkus, and Dan Hampton was a thrill for this die hard football fan.”
Ross also talked about Jerry Lawler and more. You can read the entire blog here. If you haven’t done so, you can listen to the latest episode of the Ross Report here:
