WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on various topics. During the blog, Ross commented on Paige’s suspension by WWE for failing their wellness policy, which is her second violation. Ross is concerned for her future but is pulling for her as he thinks she is very talented.
“Concerned about WWE’s Paige coming on the heels of her second wellness policy violation. It’s never too late more often than not to make better decisions and changes in one’s life. I’m pulling for the talented young woman to be happy and healthy and wish her the best on her upcoming neck surgery.
It’s well known by now that WWE is bringing back Bill Goldberg to the company and is booking him in a match against Brock Lesnar at next month’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event. Lesnar and Goldberg have wrestled once before, and that was back at WrestleMania 20 in 2004 in which Goldberg won. Now, Goldberg will be appearing on Monday’s RAW to accept Lesnar’s challenge for a match. Ross sees this as a one-off match between the two wrestlers.
“When we first reported that Goldberg was returning to WWE to face Brock Lesnar at the November 20 Survivor Series, many doubted the ‘rumor’ that will likely be confirmed this Monday night on RAW. I like the ‘attraction’ aspect of this booking and fully expect it to be a one off and like,y won’t cline the show. Cynics hanging their hats on the last match the two wrestled are reaching, IMO, as the lay of the land is much different this time around I expect a straight forward, physical match with Lesnar winning in what I expect to be the last pro wrestling match that the Oklahoma native and former WCW phenom likely will ever have.”
There have been reports of tension between Dixie Carter and TNA President Billy Corgan. Ross believes that there will be major changes coming to the company.
“Rumors of tension between TNA’s Dixie Carter and Billy Corgan is outwardly uncomfortable for many TNA wrestlers, or so some have told me. One has to assume that major changes with this troubled brand are imminent.”
Ross also talked about Michael Elgin and more. You can read the entire blog here. If you haven’t done so, you can listen to the latest episode of the Ross Report here:
