Jim Ross on Matt Hardy possibly returning to WWE, Cruiserweight division, more

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on various topics. In the blog, Ross said that he is curious to see how well the cruiserweights in the division on RAW develop.

“Curious to see how well WWE’s Cruiserweights develop on Monday Night RAW. It would be a sin if these athletes don’t take advantage of their opportunity and they must realize that their success isn’t singularly tied to how many high spots that they can shoehorn into their matches. The Cruiserweights longevity is directly tied to how well they connect to the fan base including how good their verbal skills are perceived. This division has amazing potential.”

Reports have been circulating about WWE being interested in bringing back Matt Hardy to the company. Hardy is the top heel in TNA and brings the most buzz for the promotion. Ross gave praise to Hardy for recreating his character.

“Saw where WWE is allegedly hoping that Matt Hardy returns to WWE when his TNA contract ends. Don’t know the validity of this latest, rasslin rumor but to be able to get BOTH Hardy’s back in WWE would likely make many Hardy fans happy. Matt has developed the freshest, most unique pro wrestling TV persona in the biz which is a tribute to a talent with an established persona recreating himself with a new persona. If more talents would think outside the box like this, more talents would have less to complain about regarding their elusive “push.” Matt Hardy will be joining me on the Ross Report Podcast in November so stay tuned for that show. “

Ross also talked about Adam Cole and more. You can read the entire blog here. If you haven’t done so, you can listen to the latest episode of the Ross Report here:
