Jim Ross on Monday’s RAW, Mick Foley’s promo, Chris Jericho reinventing himself, more

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on Monday’s episode of RAW. Ross gave fellow WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley high praise for his promo during the RAW Women’s Title HIAC Match contract signing with Charlotte and Sasha Banks.

“Loved the Mick Foley promo and one could see how hard Mick was trying to connect with the audience and how passionate he was about what he was saying about the two women in the HIAC Bout this Sunday on the WWE Network. Nice job, Mick!”

WWE is building up Cesaro and Sheamus as a tag team. Ross believes them being a tag team can be successful.

“Sheamus and Cesaro are a proven formula for a successful tag team based on what I experienced and observed in the best of the territory days of pro wrestling. In other words, the Big Cowboy would have loved them. That’s generally good enough for me.”

Ross thinks the fact that Chris Jericho continues to reinvent himself as simply and effectively as he does is impressive as he is a veteran in professional wrestling.

“Enjoy that Chris Jericho continues to reinvent himself in the simplest of manners so effectively (clipboard) but it also makes one wonder why other talents, many much younger than Y2J, don’t appear to be as ‘hungry’ as the 40+ year old veteran.

Just like many fans, Ross wanted more out of Brock Lesnar / Paul Heyman segment from the show as it was ended early by Vince McMahon due to the Goldberg sucks chants from the live crowd.

“I needed more from Heyman and Lesnar as it relates to accepting Goldberg’s challenge or not. Agree already! The pro- Lesnar crowd in Minny was no surprise as Brock’s one of the biggest mainstream sports stars in the recent history of the Twin Cities.”

Ross also talked about Goldberg appearance on his podcast and more. You can read the entire blog here. If you haven’t done so, you can listen to the latest episode of the Ross Report here:
