WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on various topics. During the blog, Ross commented on The New Day breaking Demolition’s record of being the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions. “Nice story arc on RAW Monday night regarding the New Day and their Tag Team Titles.” Ross added that the basic writing and structure of the storyline during a three-hour broadcast was impressive. He enjoyed the aggression and physicality taking center stage rather than comedy in pro wrestling. However, Ross did state that he likes a sprinkle of comedy in the presentation of New Day.
Ross also commented on the main event of Monday’s episode of RAW that saw The New Day defeat Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens as well as Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to retain the titles. “Nice RAW main event as it’s challenging to spread the wealth while being “opportunistically greedy’ in a match featuring 6 people.” He added that Jericho’s leadership was obvious in the match but noted that all of the Superstars involved in the match did a good job. He believes that there should have been a bit more of a sense of urgency as it relates to RAW being the go-home show for Sunday’s Roadblock PPV event.
Ross also talked about Wrestle Kingdom 11 and more. You can read the entire blog here. If you haven’t done so, you can listen to the latest episode of the Ross Report here:
