WWE Evolution will take place later tonight from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show will be headlined by a Raw Women’s Championship match between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella. These two women are WWE’s top female stars, which is likely why they’ll be closing out the night.
However, over on SmackDown Live, Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have been putting on, arguably, the hottest feud in the company at the moment. The case could be made that their Last Woman Standing match deserves to close the show out. Recently, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross took to his podcast, “The Ross Report,” to offer his thoughts.
“Good Ole’ JR” said that his pick to close out Evolution would, in fact, be Lynch vs. Flair:
“So the big question out of that, it’s going to be a hell of a show. I hope you watch it on WWE Network, but, again, the debate’s ongoing as to who is going to close the show and who opens the show. I just told you my pick.
“I would pick Charlotte and Becky to close the show in spectacular fashion with death defying athleticism and physicality. I say that wink, wink, not death, not real death, but you know what I’m saying. Do you know what I’m saying?” Ross asked.
“And I’d open the show, I think, with the tag match, Lita and Trish against Alexa Bliss and Mickie James because there is a lot of star power and it gets people emotionally invested early! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”
