WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry over at his website where he gives his thoughts on various topics. During the blog, Ross commented on The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels appearing on tonight’s RAW. He noted that he is curious to see how HBK and Taker are utilized the show as the goal is always to make their rare appearances on TV mean something. Ross said that one has to think that either Taker or Michaels or even both will be at the top of the show or at the top of the second hour. Ross doesn’t think holding them until the third hour likely isn’t overly strategic.
Ross also talked about John Cena posting Kenny Omega photos on Instagram. “Enjoyed John Cena Instagram tease regarding Kenny Omega at this year’s Royal Rumble event in San Antonio on Sunday, January 29. It has certainly got folks talking and now speculation is rampant.” He said that he would be surprised if Omega weren’t a high priority for WWE to connect with and sign. He did point out that Omega is under contract with NJPW until January 31st, two days after the Royal Rumble. He noted that Omega would be at the top of the list of wrestlers to sign if he were still with the company. “Omega likely isn’t going to be swayed by merely a fat contract but also what are the creative plans the WWE has for him. This is a huge bonus for the talent if one can include this matter in the contractual conversations.”
