Organizers of the annual WrestleCade convention have reported the theft of a distinctive prop belonging to WWE Hall of Fame manager Jimmy Hart.
According to a statement released by WrestleCade on Sunday, Hart’s megaphone was stolen during the convention proceedings on Saturday. The organizers indicated that the venue, the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, is equipped with high-definition surveillance cameras.
The statement noted that law enforcement is scheduled to review the security footage on Monday. However, Hart has expressed that he does not wish to press charges against the individual responsible, provided the item is returned immediately.
WrestleCade officials issued a deadline for the megaphone’s return. “If you took it, DM us,” the statement read. “12/2, the police investigation moves forward.”
The deadline implies that if the item is not returned by Tuesday, December 2, the matter will be formally turned over to the police for investigation and potential prosecution.
WrestleCade, one of the largest independent professional wrestling conventions in the United States, took place this past weekend, featuring appearances from numerous wrestling legends and current stars.
Those with information regarding the missing megaphone are encouraged to contact WrestleCade organizers directly.
