TNA World Champion Joe Hendry remains optimistic about a potential dream match against WWE’s John Cena, stating he believes the encounter “will happen.” During his appearance on “Insight With Chris Van Vliet,” Hendry addressed the fan-desired matchup.
When asked if a match against the 17-time World Champion is still on the table, Hendry didn’t hesitate. “Of course it’s possible,” he affirmed. He then took it a step further when pressed on if he thinks it will occur: “The real question is do I think it will happen? Yes.”
Pressed for his reasoning, Hendry pointed to his recent track record of seemingly improbable achievements coming true, though he couldn’t offer a logical explanation for his conviction about facing Cena. “I mean, my track record’s looking pretty good, but I can’t tell you. I can’t explain it,” Hendry admitted. “I just feel it in my heart, to be honest with you. I just would be lying if I sat here and said I didn’t think it would happen.”
