John Bradshaw Layfield On If He Would Accept An Offer To Return To WWE Commentary

During a recent Q&A session on the “Something To Wrestle With” podcast, JBL addressed a listener’s question about a potential return to weekly WWE commentary alongside Michael Cole.

When asked if he would accept the role if offered, JBL responded, “Of course I’d be interested, but there’s not a spot available, and I don’t see one coming open. You have great commentators right now. I think Pat McAfee does a great job. I think Wade does a great job. I think Booker is doing a great job. Cory, I love those guys, and you’ve got wonderful guys who are filling the roles incredibly well, better than I could do so there’s no role available.”

He further elaborated, “Would I enjoy it? Of course I would. Yeah, I had a lot of fun being around the boys and a lot of fun working with Michael, but there’s no spot available, and so there’s no future in a commentary role.” In essence, JBL expressed his willingness to return but acknowledged the current roster of talented commentators and the lack of available positions.
