John Cena Addresses Vince McMahon Allegations: ‘When I Love Somebody, I Love Them Wholeheartedly’

John Cena is standing by his previous statements regarding the allegations against former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon, publicly affirming his love for McMahon and their strong relationship.

A lawsuit has been filed alleging that McMahon was involved in a sex trafficking and abuse scandal involving a former WWE employee, Janel Grant. The lawsuit further claims that McMahon coerced Grant into sexual acts with himself and others, and that he allegedly shared explicit photos of her with various individuals both within and outside the company. WWE and former executive John Laurinaitis were also named in the legal action.

In a recent profile by the New York Times, Cena addressed the allegations facing McMahon and his feelings towards him.

“I don’t care who hears it: I love Vince. I’m not downplaying anything that needs to be decided or allegations of any kind, but when I love somebody, I love them wholeheartedly. I know people are going to be angry about that, but they can’t put their value on my relationship with somebody I love.”

Cena is scheduled to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
