John Cena Appears At WWE Money In The Bank To Announce In-Ring Retirement Plans

John Cena showed up to Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

During the middle of the show, Trish Stratus cut a promo about how she has had some memorable moments in this arena in Toronto, including teaming with someone, and that was John Cena, who ran down to the ring.

Cena said he was here tonight to announce his retirement plans from WWE. The crowd booed and noted that he wanted to talk about Toronto and Canada because he’s been with WWE, where he has seen WWE thrive to where they’re today. He’s also seen hardship, and no one wants to be your friend. He said that only hardcore fans stand by your side.

Cena said the most impressive thing was that regardless of how WWE is doing, Canadians always show up. He said that he thought this was the perfect place to say what he had to say as far as why now. It’s because it’s Money in the Bank and the ultimate place for opportunity, and that’s what the PLE represents. He said he will be there when Raw moves to Netflix. He said the 2025 Royal Rumble will be his last, while the Elimination Chamber will be his last. WrestleMania 2025 will be his last Mania he competes in. He will answer all questions about his retirement after the show. He said that if you want some, come get some because the time is now.
