John Cena Calls Logan Paul ‘Underrated’ And A Future World Champion

As he prepares for his upcoming match against United States Champion Logan Paul, WWE legend John Cena has offered some surprisingly high praise for his opponent, calling him “underrated” and predicting he will one day become a world champion.

John Cena Praises Logan Paul

Speaking at Fan Expo Chicago, Cena was asked about his thoughts on “The Maverick.” He acknowledged that Paul is “not a very likeable guy” to many fans but pushed back against the idea that he is “overrated.”

“I disagree, I think he’s underrated. I think he gets a bad rap. He’s not an outsider. He belongs in WWE,” Cena said. “I think his best days are still ahead of him, he’s got championships in his future.”

John Cena Is Not Taking Logan Paul Lightly

Cena made it clear that he is taking his upcoming match with Paul very seriously. He referenced his recent Street Fight with Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam as having “reignited a fire” in him and stated that he knows he has a tough opponent waiting for him in Paris.

“I can tell you I’m not looking past Logan Paul, and I’m not believing any of the hype that he’s an outsider who should be taken lightly. I’m training hard,” Cena stated. “So do I think he can beat me up? Yes. Will he have to earn every inch? Absolutely.”

The two are set to collide in a dream match at the Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31. The full Q&A with John Cena can be found on various fan channels from the Fan Expo Chicago event.
