Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena is set to compete in his “one final match in Saudi Arabia” as part of his ongoing 2025 retirement tour, with the bout scheduled for the WWE Night of Champions premium live event.
An advertisement sent out by WWE MENA on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, confirmed Cena’s participation in the June 28th Night of Champions at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. While Cena’s opponent for this event remains unannounced, it is likely his Undisputed WWE Championship will be on the line.
The Night of Champions theme traditionally places importance on all championships being defended. This would mark Cena’s second title defense since capturing his historic 17th world championship from Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 in April. He successfully defended the title once against Randy Orton at Backlash earlier this month.
In storyline, Cena has vowed to “ruin wrestling” and retire as champion at the end of this year.
