McMahon hasn’t been seen on WWE television since the premiere of Friday Night SmackDown after losing to Kevin Owens. This is where McMahon lost a Ladder Match that saw the loser be forced out of WWE.
This was done to write McMahon off of television as the company shifted to having no authority figures on their programming.
McMahon recently went to see “Playing with Fire” and shared a photo of himself standing next to a cardboard cut out of Cena.
This is where McMahon wrote in the caption, “Being unemployed does have its advantages…One of the things I like to do is go to the movies, I recommend this one! @PlayingWFire @JohnCena.”
Cena saw the post and responded with, “Glad you’re enjoying the “mandatory vacation” Shane-O! Hope you enjoyed the flick!”
This family comedy stars Cena, Keegan-Michael Key, John Leguizamo, and Tyler Mane.
Cena will be playing the lead role of a smokejumper, a firefighter who parachutes into remote areas to battle blazes.
