John Cena in talks for big role in 'Suicide Squad' sequel

John Cena is in demand for Hollywood and his plate is already full with TV and movie offers but it looks like he may have another big role lined up.

Variety is reporting that Cena is in talks to join Idris Elba and Margot Robbie in the "Suicide Squad" sequel being produced by Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. has not commented on the story but Variety has confirmed that James Gunn will direct the movie and they will go into production this fall. The plan is for the movie to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.

Cena recently will also play the lead in The Rock's "The Janson Directive" and he has a big role in Paramount Players comedy "Playing With Fire."

Cena will also be a voice character for Universal's "The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle" alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Selena Gomez.

For those of you wondering about his next WWE appearance, there is nothing scheduled right now and it's safe to say that we will likely see Cena only a couple of times per year (or less) due to his movie commitments.
