As noted last week, John Cena underwent surgery on 7/28 for the broken nose suffered in the match with Seth Rollins in Oklahoma City. It was pretty serious since the broken nose was affecting his breathing and he needed to have it straightened out since his looks are a big part of his marketability with kids. Also, it probably wouldn’t do him any favors to have a crooked nose if he wants to land more movie roles.
Cena is off all shows up until the 8/17 edition of Raw. Cena was at the 7/31 house show in San Diego but he was just backstage and was not booked to do anything in front of the crowd. His nose was said to be a mess but he was back in the gym this week.
Fans in Australia are probably not too happy since they are not going to be seeing John Cena and Hulk Hogan when WWE tours there this month but WWE had no choice in both cases.
