John Cena lands lead role in Transformers spin-off “Bumblebee” movie

If you’re one of those outspoken individuals who thinks John Cena should stick to the WWE ring and stop making movies then you should stop reading here. But if you feel that way and keep reading you have been forewarned.

The Hollywood Reporter says John Cena has landed a leading role in the upcoming Transformers spin-off movie. This new movie will focus on Bumblebee which has been one of the biggest break out stars of the franchise since he was introduced as Shia LaBeouf’s car in the very first movie.

Transformers: The Last Knight is in theaters now but you didn’t think they were done with the franchise yet, did you?

According the the Hollywood Reporter, the plot of the upcoming film will go as follows: “The story is set in the year 1987, where Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.”

Hailee Steinfeld is also slated to star in the film which is slated for a December 21, 2018 release date to put it opposing Warner Bro’s upcoming Aquaman film.
