John Cena is making the media rounds to promote the new Bumblebee film that is set to hit theaters this weekend.
During an interview with ESPN’s Cari Champion, Cena was asked about Rob Gronkowski’s chances at making it in WWE. Gronk is a close friend of Mojo Rawley and he’s a big wrestling fan.
“I think he’d be a great WWE superstar. I really do,” Cena said. “I think he’s got this unbelievable energy and infectious electricity about him.”
A jump to WWE for Gronk is possible because he’s said in the past that it’s something he might be interested in doing after football. Gronk considered retiring after last season and the rumors are popping up again so we could see him in a WWE ring sooner rather than later. Gronk got a taste of the squared circle when he did a run-in a couple of years ago at WrestleMania 33.
“I think if he wants to take off the pads and step in the arena, I think he’ll feel right at home,” Cena said about Gronkowski.
