John Cena pulled from post-WrestleMania advertising

As noted on 2/14, John Cena will be taking more time off from WWE. He has a ton of things being offered to him outside of WWE and he is scheduled to start filming the movie “The Pact” soon.

Cena has been taken off all post-WrestleMania advertising starting on the week after Mania, according to the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter. That also includes the Money In The Bank show that takes place on 6/18 in St. Louis. The MITB show is a Smackdown-branded pay-per-view.

Cena will be hosting the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on 3/11. After that, he will team with girlfriend Nikki Bella to take on The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania. The rumors are still out there that Nikki will retire at the show but she has denied the story and has maintained that she plans on wrestling on big shows after Mania. The seeds for that feud were planted at Sunday’s Elimination Chamber during the backstage brawl between Natalya and Nikki when Nikki accidentally spilled powder on Maryse.
