John Cena said during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon last month he intends to make a WWE return, but didn’t know when that would be.
WWE sent out a video today to welcome fans back ahead of their return to live event touring on Friday with SmackDown. Starting tomorrow, all WWE events will have fans in attendance.
Cena took to Twitter to react to the video by writing, “I’m so happy and excited for the WWE Superstars and of course the BIGGEST superstar IN the WWE…the WWE Universe! I’ll be watching very closely!”
It’s been heavily reported over the past several weeks that the former WWE Champion is slated to return to the company to work a match with Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam on Saturday, August 21st from Las Vegas, at Allegiant Stadium.
