John Cena Set To Appear On Season Premiere Of “The Simpsons”

John Cena is slated to make a special appearance during the season premiere of “The Simpsons” on FOX.

Cena’s WWE in-ring retirement in 2025 was announced during Money in the Bank. He has said that he would be there when Raw moves to Netflix before saying the Royal Rumble, the Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 2025 will be the last times he competes. He plans to wrestle throughout the year and wants to work 30–40 matches.

It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that the future WWE Hall of Famer will be on the episode that kicks off the animated series’ 36th season on Sunday, September 8th. It will also feature Conan O’Brien, Danny DeVito, and Tom Hanks.

It’s unclear whether Cena will play himself or a new character during the show. WWE has had talent appear on the show in the past, as Bret Hart appeared as himself during the Simpson’s 8th episode.

The last time Cena wrestled was on the post-WrestleMania episode of Raw for a quick six-man tag team match, where he helped The Miz and R-Truth win.
