"Very excited to say that I have received an invite to what I believe will be an event that will change my life. I'm certain I will cry my eyes out and simultaneously harness the power of a lightning bolt! You know who you are, see you soon, and thank you," he wrote.

Cena was last seen on WWE programming when he made a surprise appearance with his “Dr. of Thuganomics" gimmick for a segment with Elias at Sunday’s WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event in East Rutherford, NJ.

Cena was originally advertised to compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match at the pay-per-view event on January 27, 2019, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona but was later pulled. He last wrestled during his most recent run with the company through December and early January.
