John Cena signs new reality TV deal with production company

John Cena has signed a new reality TV deal, according to Deadline.com. The new deal is with Leftfield Entertainment, which will partner with Cena to develop unscripted TV and online projects. Cena and Leftfield partnered on the “American Grit” TV series that aired on FOX earlier this year. According to Deadline, there are “several more projects in the pipeline.”

Just like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Cena will be the executive producer of his projects.

“Whether I’m in the ring for WWE or on a TV or film set, I approach all of my work the same way – with focus, authenticity, and total commitment,” said Cena in a statement. “I’m eager to bring that same work ethic to the team at Leftfield, and to create new kinds of programming that can inspire and push people to be their best. I’m living proof of what you can accomplish when that happens.”

“We’re extremely proud and happy to be in business with John,” said Leftfield Entertainment CEO David George.

Cena hosts the ESPY Awards on Wednesday night on ABC.
