John Cena’s cryptic message has fans wondering if his days in a WWE ring are coming to an end

WWE fans haven’t seen much of John Cena this year as he continues his career in Hollywood. Cena will be back for the Super Show-Down event on October 6 but he is not listed for any other shows this year.

Cena’s latest tweet has many fans wondering if he is getting ready to hang up his boots for good.

He said, “Nothing lasts forever. When doing something you love make sure to be present and enjoy it. That way if and when it ends, you can look back with fond memories instead of regret.”

For what it’s worth, Cena has been dealing with nagging injuries for years, most notably the issues with his neck. So it would not surprise me if we don’t see him back in the ring, aside from a rare appearance and once a year at WrestleMania. Quite frankly, he has already begun to reduce his WWE schedule. He’s wrestled less in 2018 than any previous year in his wrestling career.

Cena also acknowledged that he is no longer on the “grind 24/7.”

He said, “I am guilty of this myself but I’m changing my view now. Hard work and persistence are needed for success, but so is rest and recovery. Busy periods of time will come, but never sell short recharging yourself. I’m NOT on “the grind 24/7” because rest is more productive.”
