John Cena’s WrestleMania opponent reportedly bigger than WWE Championship

The WrestleMania landscape is shaping up quickly and by the looks of things, there could be some big events in store. Although we haven’t officially hit the Road To WrestleMania just yet, the early word coming out of WWE is showing that next year’s Show Of Shows is going to be an excellent show with a huge match for John Cena.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that although there are rumors floating around saying AJ Styles will defend his WWE Championship against John Cena in New Orleans, the word is that John Cena’s match for WrestleMania 34 is actually a much bigger encounter.

Some names that would be considered bigger than a WWE Championship match might be scarce at this point other than a few names and they’re big ones. The Undertaker, Batista, Hulk Hogan, and Goldberg are all in the running just due to the weight of their name’s value alone. Although Dave Meltzer does note Hogan’s participation and clearance to compete might be a huge question due to his ongoing back issues.

But it looks like John Cena has a WrestleMania opponent and it will be a massive draw. Raw’s 25th Anniversary could very well be the best place for this story to start getting put together. So we’ll all need to tune in on January 22nd to see what goes down that could get wrapped up at WrestleMania 34 for Super Cena.

For what it’s worth, we posted some exclusive news on The Undertaker over the weekend. Click here to read more (FYI, some of you might consider not reading if you don’t want things spoiled for you). A match with Taker would make the most sense because it’s a match that was originally talked about for last year’s show before plans changed and it’s a match that both Taker and Cena have wanted.
