John Laurinaitis, former WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, has announced his first public appearance since being named in the Janel Grant sex trafficking lawsuit. In a video announcement released on February 12, 2026, Laurinaitis revealed that he will be participating in his first-ever public signing event.
The appearance is scheduled for Big Time Wrestling’s “March Mayhem” event, which will take place in Ohio on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Laurinaitis served as a high-ranking executive within WWE for decades and was an on-screen character as the General Manager of both RAW and SmackDown.
Speaking in his video announcement, Laurinaitis utilized his former television personas to promote the upcoming appearance:
“Big Time Wrestling’s March Mayhem on Saturday, March 14 — I, Mr. John Laurinaitis, former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and former GM of RAW and SmackDown, will be there to do my first-ever signing. I suggest that everybody watch me there, otherwise I will have to wish you the best in your future endeavors. People Power.”
Laurinaitis had maintained a low profile since the Janel Grant lawsuit was filed, but his legal standing changed significantly in May 2025. He was officially dismissed from the lawsuit after reaching a confidential settlement with Grant. As part of this agreement, Laurinaitis committed to providing evidence and cooperating with the ongoing legal actions against Vince McMahon and WWE.
Janel Grant’s legal team issued a statement following the settlement, clarifying Laurinaitis’s role moving forward: “John Laurinaitis has agreed to cooperate and provide evidence in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. His agreement to a confidential settlement is a pivotal next step toward holding McMahon and WWE accountable… Mr. Laurinaitis looks forward to moving on with his life.”
