As announced this week on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, John Morrison will be returning to in-ring action.
Michael Cole announced that Morrison will take on Big E on next week’s show. This would be Morrison’s first WWE match in 8 years. The match was made after Kofi Kingston and The Miz squared off this week in a rematch from last week’s show. There was a shouting match at ringside between Morrison and Big E at ringside that ended with Morrison taking out E at ringside with a cannonball from the steel steps. The distraction allowed Miz to defeat Kingston with the Skull Crushing Finale.
Next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown will take place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.
