Johnny Gargano addresses his future and then gets attacked, Kyle O’Reilly apparently written off WWE TV

Johnny Gargano closed out this week’s WWE NXT 2.0 broadcast with news about his future.

Gargano said that Shawn Michaels told him that he can speak for as long as he wants. Gargano said his one regret over the past 6 years is not enjoying this more because he always worried if what he did was good enough and he hopes he gave the fans wrestling that they can be proud of.

Gargano talked about being brought back after a dark match with Apollo Crews and the fans bringing him back every week even though he wasn’t under contract and he’s dealt with self confidence issues throughout his entire life and the only place he’s ever felt important is inside of a wrestling ring.

Gargano mentioned his family at home and the family behind the scenes including the coaches and the broadcast team and change is scary but “sometimes it needs to happen.”

Gargano said his immediate future is up in the air and he may do some things “here and there” and in February he will be a father and he wants to teach him to be the best man he can be. At that point, Gargano was attacked by Grayson Waller. It was not made clear if Gargano signed. Either he has signed or he wants to take some time away and this was done to leave things open in case he returns or this was done to write him off. The way it played out, it looked like they were planning on Gargano returning to wrestle Waller at some point.

Earlier in the show, Kyle O’Reilly lost to Von Wagner in a cage match and he was brutally attacked after the match. It appears that he was written off TV so he’s likely done and could be AEW-bound.
