Jon Jones says it’s ‘inevitable’ that he will work with WWE

Jon Jones successfully defended his UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 247 on Saturday against Dominick Reyes and he says that he has many years left in the Octagon but it looks like he hopes to do business with WWE at some point.

Jones recently told Sports Illustrated that he thinks he will do something with WWE one day. “I think it’s inevitable,” said Jones. “I’ve always respected WWE, and I feel like the sports can be so similar.”

Jones did not say when he would want to make the jump but he feels like he would fit right in with the roster. “I have the size and athleticism and the following to transition over really well,” said Jones. “To get the opportunity to just show up, even as a special guest, would be a dream come true.”

It’s not known if there is any interest from WWE since Jones’ personal issues might be a hurdle that they might not be willing to go through. Jones has failed several drug tests and he’s been arrested for DUI and hit-and-run battery.

However, his star power might be enough for WWE to overlook his past and in wrestling, the old phrase is “never say never.”
