Update: ESPN has confirmed to F4Wonline.com that Jonathan Coachman will be in Brooklyn covering the event for SportsCenter. According to F4Wonline.com, it won’t be fully blown out “SportsCenter on the Road” coverage like with a major sports event, but Coachman will be there as an ESPN reporter.
Original: We noted a several weeks back that there was a possibility that ESPN would be covering WWE as a sport and that former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman, who currently works for ESPN, has been trying to bring the two companies together somehow.
Coachman recently mentioned on Twitter that he will be at the August 23rd SummerSlam pay-per-view from Brooklyn. He tweeted out the following:
So next weekend does anyone know of anything to do in Brooklyn. Don’t have anything on my schedule. No wait… Yes I do. #SS
