Kaitlyn is returning to WWE as part of the Mae Young Classic

As first noted a couple of weeks ago by Dave Meltzer, there had been talk of Kaitlyn (Celeste Bonin) making a return to WWE after she visited backstage a recent NXT TV taping. Later, during an interview with WSVN-TV reporter Chris Van Vliet, she hinted that she could be returning.

Well, WWE has confirmed the news. Kaitlyn is returning to the company as part of the 2018 Mae Young Classic. She is the first participant announced for the 32-woman tournament.

Kaitlyn left WWE in 2014 and, at the time, she said that her wrestling career was done as she wanted to focus on fitness and bodybuilding. Things changed and she made her return in February for an independent show in Florida with the goal of making it back to WWE.

It’s unclear if this is just a one-shot deal for the tournament or if there are plans to bring her on board full-time with NXT or the main roster.
