Before she was the “La Madrina” of Legado Del Fantasma, Karissa Rivera had another memorable, albeit brief, role in WWE: the first wife of “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley. In a recent interview on the “Muscle Memory” YouTube channel, Rivera was asked about her part in one of the most chaotic wedding segments in Raw history, and her reflection on her on-screen husband was hilariously blunt.
When asked by the host what it was like being storyline-married to Bobby Lashley, Rivera didn’t need many words to sum up the experience. With a laugh, she stated, “It was very short lived. Okay, he’s a cheating ass.”
Her comments refer to the infamous 2019 storyline where Lashley was set to marry Lana, who had left her then-husband Rusev (Miro) for him. During the televised wedding ceremony, multiple parties interrupted, including Rusev popping out of a giant wedding cake and Liv Morgan professing her love for Lana. Rivera was the first to object, striding to the ring as Lashley’s scorned first wife.
The segment on Raw ultimately descended into a massive brawl. When the interviewer asked Rivera what it was like to walk out and confront the couple during that chaotic scene, her answer was just as direct and perfectly in character.
“Listen,” she said, “they were both about to get an ass whooping.”
While Rivera’s time as Mrs. Lashley was indeed “very short lived,” her recent comments provide a humorous look back at one of the wilder, Attitude Era-esque segments from recent WWE history. Though she has since had a successful run in NXT as Elektra Lopez and is now a free agent, it’s clear she hasn’t forgotten the simple motivations of her first on-screen character on Raw.
