In his first public comments since reports surfaced about his WWE contract status, Karrion Kross has directly contradicted reports that he and Scarlett have been offered a new deal by the company. In a teaser for an upcoming interview, Kross stated that much of what is being written online is “not true,” while also expressing his hope to return.
Kross Contradicts Reports
In a clip for an upcoming interview on “The Angle” podcast with Joey Karni, Kross was asked if he and Scarlett would be returning to WWE Raw. “I hope so,” Kross began. “I see things being written online right now, specifically today. Yeah, a lot of what I read is not true. I hate to disappoint people, but I don’t want to bullshit. I hope we do come back.” His statement that “a lot of what I read is not true” appears to be a direct refutation of a recent report from the Wrestling Observer that a new contract offer had been made.
Karrion Kross confirms what you're reading today is NOT true.@realKILLERkross and I talked today, 8/7/25.

Kross’s comments are the latest development in a week of conflicting reports about his future. On Monday, a report from Fightful Select stated that his and Scarlett’s WWE contracts were set to expire this past weekend and that, as of that time, no new contract had been offered. This was followed by a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer on Wednesday, which stated that Kross and Scarlett had been offered a new deal by the company.
Fan Support
The uncertainty surrounding his contract comes at a time of a significant groundswell of fan support for Kross. A “We Want Kross” movement has been prominent on social media and at live events, with fans chanting his name during the SummerSlam post-show press conference.
Recent Storylines
After his “Final Testament” faction disbanded earlier in the year, Kross embarked on a singles run that led to a high-profile feud with Sami Zayn. Despite losing to Zayn at both the Night of Champions and SummerSlam premium live events, his character work and promos during this period were widely praised and helped fuel the new wave of fan support. The full interview with Karrion Kross on “The Angle” podcast is set to be released tomorrow.
The interview was part of a promotional tour for Kross’s first book, “Life Is Fighting,” which is being published by Simon & Schuster. Click here for ordering information.
