Karrion Kross Confirms Night Of Champions Match Was Last-Minute WWE Decision

Karrion Kross has seen a surge in popularity in recent months, but with that has come a wave of online rumors. The former NXT Champion recently addressed the speculation, laughing off some of the wilder stories and giving credit to the fans for his recent match at Night of Champions.

Kross Shuts Down Rumors

In a recent interview with Foundation Radio, Kross was asked about a rumor that he refuses to take “flat back bumps.”

“I thought out of all the crazy articles that are fabricated about me every week, that was the weakest,” he said. He then shared another rumor he found amusing. “It said something like, ‘Karrion Kross is going to come to Monday Night Raw and he’s going to quit and do a shoot promo live, and then walk out.’ I thought that was a good one. But I don’t really respond to any of them. There’s a crazy one about me every week or two. You just kind of have to laugh.”

Credit To The Fans

Kross also revealed that his match against Sami Zayn at Night of Champions wasn’t originally planned and only came together at the last minute, something he credits to the fans.

“People, fans all over the world are the reason why I was on Night of Champions,” Kross said. “This was something I was told about last minute. This is not something that was in the works. I want people to know that they made that happen. They gave me the time that I really, really have wanted for years now to be able to go out there, tell a story on television, and then blow the match off in a PLE.”

On the July 7 episode of Monday Night Raw, Kross continued his feud with Sami Zayn, attacking him backstage before Zayn was scheduled to team with Penta against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
