Keith Lee noted on Twitter that he will not be wrestling in a singlet when he returns to the ring. Lee tweeted a photo from his final time in WWE and said, “Final moments….RIP to that singlet. It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds.”
Lee wrestled with no singlet for most of his career, including during his days in NXT but that changed once he got on the main roster because of the feeling from Vince McMahon that he needed a new look, perhaps to hide his body.
Prior to his release, Lee had been repackaged with the “Bearcat” nickname and we now know that the nickname was not Lee’s idea. Lee is one of the names that will likely get a call from All Elite Wrestling and Impact Wrestling immediately after his 90-day non-compete expires so fans can expect to see him in the ring sometime in early 2022.
Lee’s fiance Mia Yim was also among those released by the company. She will be free to work elsewhere around the same time as her husband will.
