Kevin Nash and Sean Oliver dug into Bron Breakker’s spear on episode 200 of Kliq This and Nash said he doesn’t see how Breakker’s signature move holds up as a long-term finish.
The conversation started with the WWE Monday Night Raw opener and the spear that Breakker hit on Seth Rollins outside the ring.
“Well, he half ass missed that one,” Nash said.
“The first one, when he comes that whole distance, you know, let alone the fact that it was a 390 yard sprint,” Nash said about the in-ring spear.
Nash compared the move’s mileage to what Hulk Hogan said in the recent Netflix documentary about wishing he had used a sleeper as his finisher rather than the leg drop.
“Let’s go back to Hulk’s documentary. Of all the things he said, why the f—- I could rewind it all the way back? ‘Man, I grab a sleeper.’ That was a sleeper, he said, was it?” Nash said. “He said that he would have used the sleeper. But…”
Nash then circled the conversation back to his own body and the price he paid for one of his signature moves. The sidewalk slam, executed dozens of times across his career on his right hip, eventually showed up as a herniation.
“I look at what I did, that sidewalk slam in every one of my matches. Granted, I didn’t work as many matches as Hulk did, but that’s on my right hip. And I pick up a human being, and hoist them up here, and then I jump, and I land with all their weight on my hip first,” Nash said.
“I’m not only am I dropping my weight, but I’m picking up another 250 pounds and cementing that into my lower back. And then finally, you know what, three, two years ago, I go get an MRI, and I’m starting to lose function to one of my legs, and I’ve got a herniation of my L2, L3 and L4,” Nash said.
Bron Breakker has been one of WWE’s most pushed talents since arriving on the main roster in 2024 and is currently in a program with Seth Rollins on WWE Monday Night Raw. He has used the spear as his primary finish throughout his run.
