Kevin Nash recently explained on his “Kliq This” podcast why he believes Bron Breakker’s current non-speaking role alongside Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman is a valuable position that elevates the superstar. He compared the situation directly to his own early WWE career as the bodyguard Diesel for Shawn Michaels.
When asked if Breakker’s role as a “Bulldog bodyguard” was a waste of talent, Nash disagreed. “No, I think it elevates him, because he’s seen in the main event and that Main Event bracket,” Nash stated, emphasizing the importance of being positioned with top-level talent.
Nash detailed the behind-the-scenes benefits of such a role. “What Bronson [Breakker] is learning, from a standpoint of sitting in the TV production room with… Heyman and Rollins. I mean, like to be under that Learning Tree, as opposed to, you know, somebody that doesn’t have… that experience,” he said.
He then drew a direct parallel to his own history. “Me as Diesel in a mute position watching… what he’s what Bron, what Bronson is learning,” Nash said, indicating that his time observing Shawn Michaels was a crucial part of his development. He argued that Breakker is not a “bit player” in the storyline because he is consistently featured in main event segments.
Nash’s perspective is that being consistently presented alongside established main event performers like Rollins and Heyman provides a more significant platform for a developing talent than being a featured star in a mid-card feud. He sees it as a strategic way to build a future main event competitor by immersing them in that environment.
